late Wittgenstein

Late Wittgenstein refers to when Ludwig Wittgenstein wrote Philosophical Investigations, in which he characterized philosophy as ‘language-games’ and declared that philosophical problems go away entirely when you realize this.  He also elevated aesthetics as the ultimate truthteller.  See also: early Wittgenstein.
