Receivers in the Neuromythograph refer to receptors. These are proteins that are expressed on the surface (and interior) of neurons that bind with neurotransmitters sent by other neurons. The expression of different receivers allow neurons to selectively ‘listen’ to particular energy ‘channels’. The Neuromythograph characterizes each receiver with an archetypal character, representing a theory of the role of the receiver in modulating the received energy signals.
